Silver-Nano Technology: Antimicrobial Breasy Masks
Our Breasy Fabric Masks use silver-nano, antimicrobial technology to resist and kill viruses and bacteria.
What is Silver Nano?
- It’s actual silver particles embedded in the fabric, and silver particles are able to resist and kill viruses and more than 650 kinds of bacteria.
- After 50 washes, there was still 99.7% reduction in bacteria after 24 hours.
-
Breasy Masks Use real Silver?
Yes! Or more precisely, we use silver particles. Our highly conductive silver-infused fabric embeds the silver particles directly into the fibers rather than giving them a surface treatment.
This results in the use of nanoparticles instead of conventional silver.
Silver Nano Particles
The silver particles continuously release ions, which are able to resist and kill viruses and more than 650 kinds of bacteria.
This keeps our Breasy Masks anti-microbial (goodbye microbes!) and eliminating other possible hazards.

Nano-silver particles will not dissolve in water, but will increase their activity!

- “PET fabric treated with antimicrobial agents has been extensively studied and results indicate the capability of preventing the growth of pathogenic microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi, algae.” Scientific Reports
Filter:
- "Time to upgrade your mask?" New research shows adding a filter and improving the fit makes a cloth mask work even better. (New York Times, Nov. 24, 2020)
- “Our observations suggest that a higher thread count by itself is not sufficient to guarantee better stopping-capability.” World Health Organization
Bamboo Fabric:
-
“Bamboo face masks can be a great alternative to cloth face masks,” says Karl E. Minges, PhD, MPH, assistant professor, chair of the Department of Health Administration and Policy, and director of the Master of Public Health Program at the University of New Haven School of Health Sciences.
Not only is bamboo environmentally friendly (it grows quickly with little water and no pesticides), but it’s also anti-bacterial, odor-resistant, and moisture-wicking, he explains. (sports.yahoo.com, July 16, 2020)
